Big Brother Africa 2 is the second season of the Big Brother Africa series. It ran for 98 days between the 5th of August and 11th of November of the year 2007. Kabelo "KB" Ngakane replaced Mark Pilgrim as the host of the show.

Format

Housemate Setup

There were twelve housemates this season and all lived in the same house. The housemates were competing for US$100 000. This season, twelve countries participated and each provided one contestant to be a housemate. All twelve countries were returning countries. These countries were Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Head of House

The Head of House was a new feature that would give one particular housemate special and unique privileges. This would especially come in handy during nominations for they were given a special privilege in terms of saving and replacing nominees. Each Head of House for the week would be determined by the Head of House challenges played on Friday. Whoever wins the Head of House challenge becomes the following week's Head of House.

Nominations

Every week, housemates were to nominate two other housemates up for eviction. The housemates who received the most nominations were then put up for eviction. The Head of House would then decide whether or not they can save a housemate. If the Head of House was also nominated, they can save themselves and put up another housemate in their place. Depending on the Head of House's decision, that list will be the housemates put up for eviction that week and Africa will then decide who stays and who goes.

Voting

This season, viewers voted for the housemate they wanted to evict. If a housemate received the most votes from Africa, that housemate would be evicted out of the competition. During the finale week, viewers instead voted for the housemate they wanted to win and see walk away with the prize money. The votes were split into twelve country votes with the Rest of Africa split as the thirteenth vote to split up possible ties.

Housemates

On Day 1, twelve housemates entered the house on launch night.

Twists

A twist is an addition to the Big Brother game that makes the competition more interesting and gives different results and also contributes in changing a housemate's opinion on the game that they are playing. The following twist occurred this season:

Moles

During the live eviction show on Day 77, it was announced that there will be two moles (fake housemates) that will be in the Big Brother Africa house for Week 13 (Days 85 - 91). They will not be competing for the money, but they were sent to cause havoc and change the housemates' feelings towards the game. Seven possible moles were listed up and from those seven will be the two official moles. All seven moles were from the countries that were already evicted prior to the live eviction. The following were scheduled to be the moles:

The public were to vote on which of the two (one male, one female) would be the mole.

On Day 84, it was revealed that Kenya's Ashanti and Zimbabwe's Victor will be the moles and will be there for the whole of Week 13.
